Brushing teeth- daddy style

This post is dedicated to my dad because these pictures made me think of him and my earliest memory.. him brushing my teeth! He used to sing this song that goes like this:

“We brush our teeth,

we brush our teeth,

so they don’t fall outta our head!”

I’d die laughing, which I guess helped gain access to the teeth!

Now I get to watch Jon brush Kaylee’s teeth and it makes me smile!

Speaking of teeth, she now has two top one out and two more that look like they’re on their way! She’s growing too fast!

I have decided that 8 months is a really fun age! Sitting up, “crawling”, babbling, and laughing are so much fun with Kaylee. She loves to do anything new and to hang out with her friend Carson. What a blessing!  

Our Investment Land

 

Not long ago Jon and I bought some land to play on and hopefully sale to make a profit! Here are some pictures, Wanna go camping???

Fun story about this land. One of the reasons we got it cheap was because there was limited access to it because the “road” was dirt and had huge trenches in it. We had decided we would invest in it when we bought it by making a gravel road. After we signed and went to look at it what to we pull up and see?? A ROAD!!! God is so good!

Kaylee Crawls

Or maybe it needs to be called Kaylee Crawls Gets Places as it is more of a scoot.

I needed to have written this back when I posted about her dedication, because that is when she started. She saw her granny’s shoe lace and decided that was the time to get somewhere! Since then there has been little stopping her.

Kaylee’s Dedication to The Lord Jesus Christ

 

On March 7th, 2010 Jon and I dedicated ourselves to raising Kaylee in the Lord. My mom made a BEAUTIFUL dress. I am not kidding. It is stunning.  We chose  the verse Deuteronomy 6:7 for us: (Here is 5-7 though)

(5) Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. (6) These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. (7) Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

And 2 Timothy 3:14-15 for Kaylee:

(14) But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, (15)and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

Our hope and prayer is to raise a little girl with the help of the Lord to become a Jesus and Bible loving adult. That she would one day serve God with great zeal and live a fruitful life.

After the service, our family and friends came to our house to eat hamburgers and celebrate Kaylee’s life and the Lord! We used an idea from a shower I’d been to to bathe Kaylee in scripture led prayer. What a blessing! I am so thankful to everyone who was there and supported and continue to support us in this area of life.

This is on the bottom of the slip. It says: “ Kaylee Marie Klepper Dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ  March 7th, 2010 Woodland Park Baptist Chruch.”  We are planning on using this for any future baby girls too and adding their dedication information to the bottom too!

           

These pictures were taken the day before. We ate yummy yummy pizza at Mellow Mushroom! I was so glad that my in-laws were able to come down for this special day! It meant a lot to Jon and I!

After the party Shell and I hung out for a while. She is such a blessing in my life!

 

Today I found this bracelet my Aunt Laniey gave Kaylee in the bottom of the bag she brought with a bible with her name on it! Kaylee loved it!
